Tis been over a week since I've devoured PACIFIC RIM but have yet to construct a proper film review of it (besides this observation on PopcornX) but the imagery and delight never ended with the viewing! And i have been charmed by a variety of visual adaptations of the film, especially this two vintage/nostalgic poster versions featuring (above) COYOTE TANGO image by Tim Anderson (cheers for the headsup, Na En) and Yoshiki Takahashi (below):
""PACIFIC RIM" ORIGINS: Very few people know that Guillermo del Toro's epic is actually a remake of the 1960s Japanese kaiju eiga, EARTH DESTRUCTION COMMAND: DECISIVE BATTLE IN THE SOUTH SEAS" ~mentioned August Ragone.…and oh, have you seen this trailer for Pacific Rim fan-made ala classic TOHO Godzilla movies? Never under-estimate the power and allure of "NOSTALGIA", people! And while we may life for "tomorrows" with all it.s uncertainties and excitement, the "past" is not going anywhere else, and here to stay, like it or not muahahahaha :)
